Operating Hours:

Most SASSA branches operate from Monday to Friday, with varying opening and closing times. Generally, they open between 7:30 am and 8 am each morning and close between 4:30 pm and 5 pm each afternoon. It’s important to note that the exact opening and closing times may differ between branches.

Please be aware that SASSA branches are only open on weekdays and remain closed on weekends and public holidays.

Considering the high number of applicants visiting SASSA branches daily, it is strongly recommended to arrive early in the morning, preferably before the office opens. This will increase your chances of being assisted by a SASSA officer on the same day. It’s advisable to bring along water, snacks, and if possible, a small fold-up chair to ensure your comfort during the wait.

In cases where you are unable to visit the SASSA office personally due to illness, old age, or disability, you can have a trusted family member or friend apply or visit the branch on your behalf.

Please keep in mind that these guidelines are subject to change, and it’s always a good idea to confirm the specific operating hours and requirements with the respective SASSA office before your visit.
